We Have Been Funded By The National Lottery

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded £499,788 from The National Lottery Community Fund, which we will receive over the next four years. This funding will go towards our Get Online Get Connected project which will launch in the spring. We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery and its players.

The project’s aim is to increase the number of visually impaired people confidently using the internet. Since the COVID pandemic many organisations have moved most of their services online. Due to a more online focused world and the gap in the technology based skillset of many visually impaired people, the need for technology training has grown.

The Get Online Get Connected project will include workshops throughout the county. It will feature one-on-one tech training sessions held in convenient community locations, as well as regular tech support. It will also enable us to build our capacity through volunteering and expand our services, and reach across the county.

This project will allow us to expand our technology-based services and to support more visually impaired people.

We will provide more news about the project in the coming months

Thank you to everyone who plays the National Lottery, without your support, this grant would not be possible.
