ActivEyes

The group ActivEyes organises events based in the City, run by Guy Lawfull, one of our visually impaired trustees. This group offers tennis sessions, regular trips to the Cutteslowe Horticultural Centre, and museum touch tours. The group also meets up for a regular Zoom session, and also a pub social at the Duke of Monmouth on Abingdon Road. Cowley Social Group

Our Cowley Social Group meets at ‘Flo’s in the Park’ in the Florence Park. We will have a coffee and then have a walk around the park. This is a perfect opportunity to meet other visually impaired people and socialise in a positive setting. North Oxford Social Group

In the spring of 2024 we started a new social group at The Common Ground in Oxford! Come along to meet other visually impaired people, socialise with some fantastic people, and enjoy a wonderful café. Oxford Macular Group 

The Macular Society runs a Quarterly group which meets on the last Thursday of the month in February, May, August, and November, at 10.30am in the winter, and 2.30pm in the summer. For more information please contact 01993 811 084.

Retina UK Support Group

This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe, and friendly opportunity for people to meet up to share experiences, tips and information. For more information please contact 01865 873 246.

VIBNO

Friends of MyVision run the group VIBNO: Visually Impaired But Not Old! This is a group for anyone between 18 and 50 years old in Oxfordshire that would like to meet socially and have fun. Cyclability

Cyclability are a charity which offers accessible cycling sessions in Oxford. They provide inclusive cycling facilities in a safe, supportive environment. There is a session every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm and Friday from 10am to1pm. If you would like more information please visit https://www.cyclability.org/.

Headington Social Group
