Volunteer

Join our friendly and dedicated team of volunteers at MyVision.

We work together to support visually impaired adults and children in Oxfordshire. Whether you are able to offer your time and skills by chatting on the phone to someone feeling isolated at home, supporting us at a fundraising event, or helping out at a group, your support, time, and commitment is invaluable to us. If you have some time to spare, a little or a lot, and you would like to make a difference in your local community, we’d love to hear from you. We have lots of different volunteer roles covering a wide range of skills, interests, and availability.

If you would like to get involved, please complete the form below, email volunteer@MyVision.org.uk, or phone 01865 725595.

Hear from some of our Volunteers

Being a volunteer is fun and very rewarding. I have found it has greatly improved my mental health, and being with someone whose needs are specific is a great privilege. – Liz

I have learnt to be guided by the client, and what they are hoping to get out of the relationship.  I found that listening is an essential part of the process, and I have learnt a great deal from both ladies. I really can recommend becoming a befriender for MyVision. – Avril

I would definitely recommend becoming a befriending volunteer with MyVision. I feel good about bringing a little company to someone who is unable to get out and about and I really enjoy the chats and value the friendship we have established. – Phillipa
