Befriending

MyVision provides a befriending scheme, both in person and over the telephone.

Home Visiting

Does your eyesight make it difficult to deal with the post? Are there odd jobs that you would appreciate help with? Would you like some company or a regular chat? Would it be easier to get out – perhaps to the local shops or for a stroll in the park – if someone came with you? If these sound like some things you could use assistance with, then our home visiting scheme could help.

Volunteers usually visit once a week for around an hour, and we will work with them to find a day and time which suits you both. All of our volunteers are trained and we ensure they are DBS checked.

If you are interested about the scheme and would like to find out more, or to arrange a visit please get in touch with us at info@MyVision.org.uk or call 01865 725 595.

Telephone Befriending

We also offer a telephone befriending service where you will be in regular contact with a volunteer. You will often be paired with a volunteer with similar interests, and one who is always ready to listen, and with a friendly voice on the other end of the phone.
