Children and Young People

MyVision offers regular activities, events, and sessions for visually impaired children and young people in Oxfordshire. We also welcome their family and carers to join the sessions too.

Upcoming events:

Thursday 1st June 10:30am – 3:00pm: Family Day at Science Oxford – This free day will be fun for the whole family! It will feature, and exploration zone with lots of science experiments, pond-dipping, acres of woodland to explore, craft, a water lab, plus much more. There will be picnic tables available for lunch.

Saturday 15th July 1:00pm – 3:00pm: Sailing at Farmoor Reservoir – Come out to the event, socialise with new people, enjoy the lovely July weather, and learn how to sail! The event is for visually impaired youngster (ages 8+) plus an adult. The cost is £5 per youngster. No experience is necessary.

A car park available (there is a small charge). There is also café on site for hot drinks and snacks.

Saturday 29th July 12:30 – 3:00pm: Canoeing on the Thames: The event will be at the Falcon Boat Club for children ages 8+ and a price of £5 per paddler. This morning is sure to be fun for the whole family.

Thursday 10th August 10:30 – 12:00pm: Museum of Oxford Visit – The visit will include a touch tour and a craft session. More details, including a theme will be posted soon.
