We have recently started events for children and young people and are looking for volunteers to help and assist with various activities, including:
– Art and craft sessions
– An under 5’s group
– Cookery and baking sessions
– Day trips to various activities
This volunteer role would involve supporting our Child and Young Person Coordinator, chatting with the children, making drinks for parents and carers and setting up/tidying away after the session. Some of the children attending will have additional needs and some activities may involve you getting a bit messy!
Our under 5’s group will be held in Oxford at our resource centre and will be on alternate Friday mornings from 10:00am until 11:30am, starting in July.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to complete a DBS check.
Skills and Qualifications:
No specific qualifications needed; however it is important that you enjoy supporting children and are happy to join in with all kinds of activities. Patience, friendliness and the ability to chat with young people is also crucial.
